O&L Stories: Inspired at Kew
SKETCHES AT KEW
Osborne & Little's MANSFIELD PARK collection began with a studio trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, to explore the Arboretum and beautiful Victorian glasshouses, home to a wonderful variety of plants from around the world.
IN THE STUDIO
The designers spent the day wandering through the tropical surroundings of the famous temperate houses with their sketchbooks and cameras. These initial ideas were then developed further, back in the Osborne & Little design studio.
ASSEMBLING THE ELEMENTS
Kew provided inspiration for a variety of designs this season, including PALM HOUSE, inspired by its namesake at Kew. All elements of the design were hand-painted and then skilfully constructed to create a stunning mural featuring the intricate architecture of a tropical house and a rich array of botanicals.
The drawings of the glass window panes were then turned on their side to create the co-ordinating PALM HOUSE TRELLIS wallpaper
